Are you interested in leadership, community service, event planning, and fundraising? If so, the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan Youth Advisory Board is for you! As an area high school student, you can help us to fulfill our mission to provide a “home away from home” for families of children seeking medical treatment in our community.
The Youth Advisory Board meets once a month to plan marketing programs, recruit volunteers, and seek funds for the House. With your creativity and talent there could be many more successful programs put on by youth for youth!
To be considered for the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan Youth Advisory Board, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current student at a Grand Rapids area high school
- Submit an application, recommendation, and parental consent form
- Be able to attend monthly meetings and community services projects
- Believe in the mission of the House and be willing to promote that throughout the Grand Rapids area
Applications for the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan Youth Advisory Board are accepted each August. To find out more about the Board, contact Megan Priester, Guest and Volunteer Services Manager at mpriester@wmrmh.org or 616-776-1300.
